|We are committed to equality of opportunity and when asked by users of the database we encourage the selection of consultants who can provide a written equal opportunities policy although having such is not a requirement of joining the register. Whether the consultant has a written equal opportunities or not, is not recorded as part of the consultants on line entry - and we do not give this information about an individual consultant if asked.
Statement of Equal Opportunities
The policies of our Business Associations in particular Arts Council England and the Scottish Arts Council aim to ensure that no-one connected to or serviced by the On Line Registers of Consultants receives less favourable treatment than any other person on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, lack of formal qualifications, responsibility for dependants, or by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable within the context of the Equal Opportunities policies of these associations .
The Operator of the On Line Registers of Consultants are committed to the prevention of discrimination in the contracting of consultants, trainers, researchers, freelance workers or any other professional service providers.
The Operator may remove from the Registers any consultants, trainers, researchers, freelance workers or any other professional service providers who are shown to have acted in a discriminatory way in breach of this statement. The Operator welcomes comments from client organisations and those registered on all aspects of equal opportunities and its implementation.
Acceptance of this Equal Opportunities statement is a condition of membership of www.arts-consultants.org.uk.
